I'm not saying that it wouldn't make power, but from the graphs I've seen, revese split cams have the same low-end power of smaller cams. They don't come on until 5500 rpm's or so. Here is a graph comparing 3 cams. The 224/224, 227/224, and the 230/224. Notice the low-end power never increases over the 224/224 cam, even when you take the intake duration up to 230. If I'm going to take the time for a cam swap, I want all around power, not just top end.
