Do the 6 speed and auto speedo sensors use the same signal?

Do the 6 speed and auto speedo sensors use the same signal? Since converting to automatic, I now have the correct reluctor and electronic speedo sensor. Now I am just wondering if it will be plug and play with my six speed harness.
