Default My upcoming heads/cam setup and install

Well, I think the time has finally arrived to install my heads/cam on the car. The plan is to get it done this weekend, but it may stretch into Monday.

Here is what is going on the car:

TEA stage 1.5 5.3L heads, milled .006"
Cometic .045" thick gaskets for compression of right about 11:1
F13 cam 112 LSA, +4 degrees advance
new comp 850 OE replacement lifters
7.4" pushrods (closest I can get with big money for exact length pushrods)
Reuse stock rocker arms
ASP underdrive pulley
28.8 lb injectors (GM)
new oil pump (LS6)
new LS2 timing chain
ported TB by me

I think thats the major stuff. I want new plugs, but can't decide if the NGK TR55 or TR6 would be best. Any opinions?

Mods already on the car:
BGRA, Jet Hot LT and ORY, lid, ported LS6 intake, QTEC, HP tuners basically stuff in sig

Any opinions/thoughts/hp guesses welcome. I am shooting for 440-450 rwhp and 425 rwtq.

Good luck. I would think you can stay with TR55's unless you go with N2O IMO.

I just got a set of AS 5.3 heads and a F13 cam, but won't be installing them until I get 7.4 pushrods, a pully, ported LS6 oil pump, gaskets, plugs and a throttle body. Anyway, the motor should be at the same compression as you, we'll have pretty much the same exact setup. I've been told by a few people that the TR-55's are the plugs to go with for that compression, so that's what I'm going with. Hope this helps you out, and I can't wait to hear some #'s from you!
