How fast are f-bodys?

How fast are f-bodys? I heard they have a governer set at 162mph. Mine has no top speed limit... just wondering how fast I'd go. How fast are your cars? Got mine up to 160 and had to slow down.

fbodys without zr tires from the factory are limiter to around 110 or 120...whatever the tires allow for top speed. with zr tires...its around 155 or 160..i forget. you have to also know that the speedo is off a lil...so if you have it pinned at 155....your probably going between 145-150. you can remove the speed limiter with tuning though.

I don't know what the % of accuracy is for the speedo at high speeds, but I've had mine past 155 on the dial plus and extra 500 rpms. Figuring the Speedometer becomes less accurate at higher speeds, I think I was around 153 to 160.

Im not sure what these numbers really are. theyre way too high to be fourth gear in an M6, and way too low to be fourth gear in an A4... I guess it probably is an a4 after all, but with a non stock rear diff ratio. I just dont feel like trying every combo out right now.

Well golly, I sure do apologize for using my old TA as an example. I guess if you were actually curious, you could go to f-body.org and plug your numbers into the calculator they provide instead of being patronizing schmucks

man i thought you ls1 guys gonna be far ahead of me but nope im in there with the top speed. I had my 96 Formula M6 up at 155 (speedometer topped) and rpm was still growing(so i guess it was still accelarating). Next time ill take the navigation to be more exact. All i have is a CAI
