Default Can stock cats be welded onto an ORY?

I have 2 brand new stock cats so I figured I'd save the extra $$$ it costs for a catted Y and have them welded onto an ORY. Is that possible? Will the stockers fit?

possible? yes. practical? no. the ORY is probably 3" and the stock cats are 2.5" i believe. Buy some high-flow cats and save u the trouble of reducing and enlarging pipe sizes.

More states then CA require emissions...Anyways, you can buy high flow cats that are 3 inches in/out so it'll be easier to deal with and will flow better.

Yeah I'm gonna go with Texas Speed. Coated Pacesetters and a TSP catted Y only run $700 over there, can't beat that.

you can make the holes big enough to install on the Y, the only downfall is the stock cats don't flow as well as high flow cats, but if money is tight, I say why not. By the way I've welded in stock cats, and it wasn't to hard, but I do prefere the aftermarket ones. Check out soundcats on Ebay they are 40 bucks and flow just as good as the best aftermarket performance ones.
