Default lightning vs Z

My first race in my Z and it was against a lightning (the latest body style). We raced from a rolling start at about 60 and i pulled ahead through 3 and 4 gaining about a car length total. then we raced from a stop light 2 times up to about 120mph. i was about 1.5 cars infront of him both times. I shifted flawlessly to my amazement each race.

I let off at 120 because we were racing in a 45mph highway where i have often seen cops go by on the other side. After we raced the final time, he yelled "why you keep letting off!!! I'll catch up!!!" I just laughed and kept driving as he turned off. I figured that up to 120 was over a 1/4 miles and thats all that really counts right?

the lightning had gauges lined up inside, and the supercharger whine seemed alot louder than normal. I thought for sure he wouldve taken me because I was under the impression that lightnings could take the ls1's, especially since all I have is a catback exhaust. Either way, it was nice to pull ahead for once instead of lag behind like in my old truck (dakota rt).

Ok thats all, Just thought i'd share my first Ls1 race.

Aerodynamics, same thing that kills me. Good kill on a worthy opponent. It's not easy to get those trucks under 12 seconds though, even with slicks. They weigh so much.

your kidding me right?

latest models run 13.4-13.8 bone stock.

just a pulley, program, intake with slicks put them easily in the mid 12s.

I dont see them in the 12's here in central forida. More like 13.0-13.9 range. Every time I race one I kill it especially from a roll. I had one lined up at the track, I am on toyo t1s proxes street tires and he has dr's on the truck. We take off and to my amazement I was able to take him out of the box. I just kept pulling him all the way down the track. That night I also took out a viper truck. We lined up and I took him off the line by about 1 car. I beat him by about 4 cars. I have a z06 2002 totally stock. Dr.Bigg
