Rant about Work
Well, I was just told that I can no longer "hang out with teen age drag racers" on Wednesdays or Saturdays. Apparently my supervisor doesn't approve of my activity. I guess I'll have to start getting sick on wed nights.
I think its time for me to look at changing professions. I really cant stand the administration being involved in my personal life and having to worry about everything I do.
Ok...better now, just had to vent!

I can see their point of view:" What if the media found out about this....think of how it would look...you would be portrayed as part of the problem..."
I can see their point...but that doesnt make it suck any less...Sorry to hear that they are busting you ***** about it.

If you stop and think about it, if I got caught doing ANYTHING that was even remotely off color I could potentially lose my job. Not that I wanna go out and act like a fool but I'm getting tired of worrying about it.
I spoke w/ HPD tonight and they thought it was real funny how they ran everyone off. They talked a lot of **** about everyone that was out there and it kinda pissed me off. I guess thats another thing, I can't stand being lumped into the same category as those *******.
Anyhow, gonna get some sleep now...maybe I'll feel better when I get up this afternoon!

Never met you but you sound like a pretty cool officer.
Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

I have several friends in LE around town, and to my knowledge none of them have ever been approached by their CO's about hanging out with anyone on their own time. Then again, none of 'em work for the HPD either

I'm guessing he was on duty in his patrol car. I don't see the big deal. My Chief doesn't care, I guess because he's into cars as well. There's nothing wrong with socializing. Hell, if more departments had guys that would hang out with some of the local kids like we do, it'd help cut down on the stupid stuff they do. Alot of our kids in town don't act up like they used to, mainly because they hang out with us around town.

When is the next meet?(if there is going to be one) I'll swing out there in my GF's Pontiac Vibe and drag everybodys nuts!
