Default Exhaust

I have 98 Camaro SS with SLP's Loudmouth Exhaust. It is not very loud though. My moter is basically stock but I want it to sound mean. Anyone have any suggestions on types of exhaust?

Longtube headers and a pair of cats will make it loud. The cats will help control the rasp, which is a very good thing. Or you could either sell your Loudmouth and go with true duals. Or go with a cutout and run it open all the time.

Default True Duals

Go with true duals that go over the axle and exits out the back beneath the bumper in the stock location?. You will pick horses and torque as well as a sound that is sweet, deep and mello with NO rasp.

Do LT headers, y-pipe, and your choice of a cat-back. Then, do dual cutouts on the y-pipe. OR, do LT headers and then get the TSP true dual setup that dumps at the axle.

There is no need for cats.

What type of cutout are you talking about?

You can go with dual cutouts but that can get pretty expensive. I choose to go with a single 3" cutout from QTP. The wiser choice would be to go with a electric cutout from QTP. That way you can control when you want to be loud or not without getting out of your car.

You don't think the loudmouth is very loud?

Definately sounds like you're a candidate for duals. I ran the loudmouth for a year and a half, but sold it for duals when I got headers. Couldn't be happier.

A catted y-pipe with longtubes would wake it up a little bit too.
