Default RASP! Did search

I've got a heads/cam ls1 with mac mids w/ory and an slp dual dual catback with a magnaflow muffler. I get the nasty rasp between 2000-2500 and I can't stand it. I did a lot of searhing on this and found most of thbe topics to be dealing with the loudmouth. I was just curious what I could do to get rid of it. It's annoying me! Should I have a resonator welded in? I would rather not lose power if possible but I would lose a few horse to get rid of the nasty noise. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

High flow cats are probably the best way to reduce the raspy noise.

1) get a chambered muffler welded into the I-pipe of you cat-back....
and/or
2) weld a pair of bullets, one in each "leg", of the y-pipe.....

either of these will take out a lot of/if not all of the rasp and won't really hurt your HP....

or.........
3) ditch the y-pipe/cat back and go true duals.........that always gets rid of rasp and sounds good......

I say yes to the resonator - I have one in the I-pipe and it solved everything! Only cost me like $75 bucks installed.

I would run a pair of bullets in the ypipe. I think that would hurt hp the least and reduce the rasp the most. I have macs and get the same rasp. With a quiet muffler its livable but the tone sucks. I am going to try the bullets in the ypipe and see how much it helps.

hey mike, since my cut out is in, it really changed the sound of my corsa. The rasp is completely gone, and its quieter too. but i just leave the cut out open 99 % of the time though

I was talking to a local as well and he recommended the bullets. This seems to be the best bet. Where can I get these chaep? Thanks guys for your input!
