Default front o2 sensors

if the front o2 sensors on a ls1 car aren't working properly, what effects will happen? will it lose power in the lower rpm's, will it cut out, etc? thanks for any help.

Usually the computer will pull a code, and the MIL light will come on-but not necessarily. They do wear out, and they do get slow to respond - I've replaced both my front sensors.

Lean or rich mixture is the usual for O2s going out. Lean can make power loss and rich you'd notice your gas mileage hurting. O2s work off voltage they provide to the PCM, when the PCM sees a voltage to high or to low it will set off the SES light.
