Default What Should Be my Next Mod?

Car came with
ram air hood
Ws6 rims
Long Tube headers
Catted Y-pipe

So far:

I have done:

1 - Flowmaster muffler (nice sound compared to the stock muffler)
2 - Hurst Billet shifter - (great compared to stock shifter)
3 - MSD wires and AC Delco Iridium plugs (car feels much smoother)
4 - Energy Suspension Tranny mount (BEST MOD SO FAR - no clunks or bangs anymore)

So, what's next?

How about a WS6 Lower and/or a SLP Lid???

One of the first things that should be done to the f-body is a good set of SFC.

Search on "first mods".

Subframe connectors.

Ditch the flowcrapper for a better cat-back. Search and read the exhaust guide sticky in external section to figure out which cat-back to get.

lid, short throw shifter, remove CAGS, 9" rear end with 4.11 gearing, good clutch

Remove Cags - THE WINNER!!!!

I hate that stipid BS.

I want to shift in to 2nd at least 5mph earlier and it forces me to slowly WIND OUT 1st until I can shift to 2nd without going to 4th.

It has to be costing me 1-2mpg instead of getting me better gas mileage.

So far I like this order:

1 - Skip shift eliminator
2 - Lower air box
3 - Lid

I was going to do a catback, but my car sounds so good I am willing to leave 5-10 horses on the table and stick with the Flowmaster, for now. (What can I say, I'm a Mustang guy)

I could see doing SFCs later on.

If, or should I say when, the rear goes, I will look in to a better rear.

As far as gearing, I must admit the engine could stand to rev up much faster, so 4.11s would probably be nice.

I think I would like to get this thing on a DYNO and see what kind of power it is making, more to see if the car is healthy.

I had a 2001 Vette Vert 6 speed, only mod was a Donaldson Blackwing filter, it felt much faster. It revved up much faster and had a much stronger top end. It felt like a 300-400# lighter car making more power. This could just be "The way it felt".

The TA defiitely feels HEAVY.

My 03 Cobra made 450rwhp, but it also felt HEAVY (3700#s to be exact), my Viper only makes around 400-420rwhp (never dyno'd it), but it feels like a go cart with a LARGE ENGINE, always throwing you back in the seat at any speed in any gear, even 6th.

As a comparison, my Cobra ran a best of 12.29@116.4 (1.93 60') compared to the Viper at 11.67@120.56 (1.68 60'). I have no doubt my 01 Vette would have run high 12s at 110+. That car was a "NO FRILLS" freak.

Picture this:

2001 Vette Vert 6 speed
Only options:
Single CD player
M6 tranny
Bose system

I mean it only listed for 46800 BRAND NEW, talk about a stripper.

Man I'm gabby this AM

the list you have is nice.. but i have to admit the sfc would probably be the best thing to do cuz the car will handle better and if your t-tops leak then most of the time this problem will be solved with sfc.. good luck on whatever you do

Thankfully my T-tops don't leak.

I am thinking after the skip shift a lid and/or WS6 lower would be a cool minor mod.

Doesthe WS6 Lower really add any power with a ram air hood, or is my plain lower good enough?

The car feels pretty tight, I should check, it might have SFCs, I never bother looking at suspension. I am your typical 600rwhp on stock suspension guy.

Actually, I don't even count SFC as suspension. They are more of a chassis bracing mod.
