Just as the title asks. I will be doing my heads, and either a 12 bolt, or a 9" rear before fall. Any opinions on this? Any feedback would be very helpful.
Would a SPEC Stage 2 be enough for me? Its a daily driver, and I really dont do any super hard launching. Thanks in advance!

If you are going the Spec route, I'd go ahead and up for the stage3, not going to be a great clutch for a daily driver but holds like a mofo. Just my .02

Its a dialy driver, but I think Im willing to sacrifice some comfort, for the peace of mind, knowing that its gonna hold.

i have a Spec 3 and its fine on street / daily driver. Just break it in correctly and you'll love it.

textralia will be good, initial cost is kinda high compare to spec but if you have to buy 3 or 4 spec in 2 years range, textralia would be better choise

Thats a valid point. Those are a little out of my budget at this time though. I'd like to get on of those and just be done with it....lol

Also, the AFR 205's, milled will be going on soon. I should have a CR of 11.1~11.5

Spec 3 all the way, if not a spec 4. No slipping even at a 4500 drop.

i agree with the spec3 as well. and it feels like the stock clutch pressure. it feels great on the street. it does squeak and chatter a little though.

Spec 3 huh? I dont mind some chatter, as long as that bitch holds....

SPEC Stage 5. Period. The Stage 5 is sintered iron, but it holds and is streetable. It squeals, but doesn't chatter. An alterantive would be a unsprung 4. Stick with less moving parts in a clutch and you won't have failure. SPEC 5 is only a little more than the 3, and does the trick.

the spec5 has MUCH more pressure than the 3, remember that.

will do. Is that a bad thing for my mods?

not at all. it would just be a HUGE pain in traffic.

Well, its a daily driver that might see the track twice a season. Maybe I'll go a little less radical.
Ram910 and VDS pressure plate here. rated at 700hp and the pedal feel is good. In stop go traffic after about 10 minutes (meaning engaging/disengaging the clutch about 100x) it is a work out though.
There are 10x more failures you read about with Spec clutches than RAM and other manufacturers.....

I like the Ram's. Im gonna have to save up for one of those boys......

I've been looking in the ls2 section at the possibility of the ls7 clutch retrofitted to our engine. This clutch should hold around 500hp and be streetable since it's a factory clutch. We will hopefully know something solid in a week or two?
