Gears & Axles - 9s with stock wheel studs?

Is anyone running in the 9s with the stock wheel studs? I have the Ford 9" with a spool and 31 spline axles, but was curious as to if the stock style studs would hold up.
I have been 10.70-10.80 on them already with no problems.
Thanks in advance.

it depends on how much abuse they take, do a lot of street driving with that spool? are you running a slick? as for the track, according to the nhra rules, the studs are required to go into the lug threads the thickness of the studs and the lug nuts should be open (rather than the acorn type). i would suggest upgrading to 1/2x3" screw in studs.

I am runnning ET streets all the time. It is only driven about 25% on the street.

if your running 9s or even low 10s im sure the techs will tell you that you need longer studs. they dont break that often but its a good peice of mind, you dont want to loose your studs on the highway and have a roll over.... the studs should stick past the open end nuts, this will make the techs happy. also make sure the studs are tightened properly.
