The only Mustangs they have out for '05 and '06 are the GT and the Saleen. No Cobra that I've heard about. That won't be until '07. The new Shelby Cobra GT500 doesn't come out until next summer as an '07 model. I'm not too scared of it, as they have said it only runs mid 12's stock I believe. I should be running that by the time they come out next summer.

Well, since my WS6 is almost stock, just a lid and catback, It will probably be fun getting my doors blown off.
But if I'm in the GN, well, I'll just do what I do to snakes I find around the yard and chop it's head off.

I think that the new shelby/cobra or what ever, is going to be just as big of a disapiontment as the 05 gt was, a way overpriced box of crap, the more I see them the less I like them. It will be just as bad as the ford gt, a 150,000$ crap trap, a new ZO6 is by far a better deal, and car overall, for less than half the sticker to boot. I rode, and rented a few of the new ford vehicles, they are the most uncomfortable things iv ever riden in, all of them, even the mustang.

I ment to say the 05 fords, the fox4 cars are wonderful, drove a 98, 02 gt on a lot, they were nice, fun, sporty, I used to own an 86 ttop gt, with a 358w, very fun, until it started on fire, and burned to a crisp, me and buddy barely made it out in time, that really sucked. Id give a testey, for an 03-04. but have you been in any of the 05's? The interior, is the biggest quam I have, the outside is ok, but this new square, boxy thing isn't, the seats suck ***** in the gt, i think that our wooden floors are more forgiving.

this statement kinda reminds me of before the 03 cobras came out. All the "it's gonna be maxed out" and such comments. From what I hear the new cobra is going to be pretty bad ***. Hopefully by then i'll have my 9'' and a nice 100 shot or so. They should be as easy to get power out of as the current cobras are, so batter up its gonna be fun.

Hopefully the car does hold up to all the hype, but i remember the 94 debut, it had all the new creature comforts, but it was a lot slower than the 93. That is why im scepticle. although the 03-04 cobra's are bad ***.

They will have the motor, that's for sure, but 3800lbs with an iron block ? What the hell are they thinking ? For the money at least give it the GT alum block ! I was reading my C&D tonight and it says weight distr is 57/43 - WTF ??? Anyway, mild bolt on t-top late model should handle it stock, no problem. I think a heads/cam car that is properly tuned and putting down 420-440 (lots of those out there) would even handle a pulleyed one. Hell, we're talking a 400lb weight difference - with that much weight up front and that much torque - they'll have hell launching. For them, no slicks=no win (jmho)

I dont know if "afraid" is the correct word. But, all 2 tons of camaro and me would likely loose a friendly street race.
Question is, do I go on a diet or throw out the amplifiers and subs? I like beer and I like loud music.

I'm already running mid 12's and a 150 shot will put me well over the stock GT500#'s! I'd love to see one though.....Nice looking cars Racing is for fun! You win.....Cool!! If you lose, suck it up and be a good loser!! There are always faster cars out there

A "mild bolt on t-top late model should handle stock, no problem", might be the most rediculous statement in this thread.
