Racer's Lounge - Ever have to justify spending money on your car to people?

You know how some people are just blown away by the fact you spend so much money/time on your car instead of saving/investing the money?

Its hard trying to get your mom to understand :)

Same thing I do, once you put it in terms they can relate to they generally understand and if they don't I tell them to f-off.

Daily. It makes me happy to work on my car and to drive something that isn't very common on our streets, as far as I know i'm the only Turbocharged LS1 Formula, camaro or TA rolling around here right now.

I think you are in the same area, have you raced Terminator?

Yep me and him are from the same area. I don't street race, can't afford it if I get caught(got busted for a burnout at the dynoshop cost me $550 and I got close to spending 90 days in jail). I race at the track where it matters, I feel once you get past a certain MPH at track you should keep the racing to just the track(110mph for me). I am the fastest LS1 here in Alb. 11.10@124 mph, that was with the old supercharger set up. I'll be at the track very very soon with the turbo after I get my fuel issue fixed(hopefully this weekend) any other questions about "terminator" PM me so we don't high jack this post.
