Default 04 Cobra vs 06 300C SRT-8

Both cars are stock. The Cobra is a convertible. The Cobra might have an intake and weld in Magnaflows. Im not too sure though. The Cobra was taking off at idle because he already broke the rear end at Sacramento Raceway. Very good runs. Proves that the SRT-8's are very very quick cars. The cobra I believe passed him at around 130. A little too late though. Enjoy.

Check out svtperformance website. Mustang dudes are saying its not even a cobra because they don't want to believe that it got spanked by a srt-8.

Oh its a cobra.No doubt.

Few things dodge has nice power in the setup.Weight is about the same. And the cobra driver was scared of breaking esp if he had already broke once.

But either way its still a dodge.

Doesnt matter to me.Im not scared of it.

The test will be how it holds up..If its like most of the CHRYSLER products. It wont live long..

Old school yes they held up great.Their new stuff isnt near what is use to be.

My tenant has a 300C with the standard Hemi, and it appears to be built very solidly. The build quality looks very good, the interior is nice and has the look and feel of quality, the engine is super smooth and the tranny shofts super smooth. From what I understand its a tranny from a mercedes? I don't see any indication of it not being a decent quality car or that it won't last long.

You'd think that they would keep that in mind when making the "charger"

nothing like perpetuating tired stereotypes from the eighties....

Few things dodge has nice power in the setup.Weight is about the same. And the cobra driver was scared of breaking esp if he had already broke once.
the cobra converible weighs almost 500 lbs less than the 300srt8

i do wonder how the lx car's irs is gonna hold up compared to how the cobras did......

imagine if chrysler had made those things lighter and not so big.
hopefully the dodge challenger weighs less than 2 tons

I agree with you once again. I have a buddy that had a 2003 dodge ram long bed, standard cab with 17s and 3.92s. There was allot of non-believers about the standardard hemi with 345 hp and the transmissions not holding up.

Well after 34 10 pound bottles of nitrous, not one thing broke ever broke. the truck ran 12.49@108.87mph. Truck weighs over 5000 pounds with driver.

http://home.comcast.net/~suzukirules/Hemi777_12.49.wmv

I got a few others too that are better. I will try and dig them up.

He recently sold the truck and bought a new one, lol. Another hemi of course. He promises to make this one faster, lol.

All I can say is that the motor and transmission is pretty damn tough.

I'm debating on buying another hemi truck when they release the 6.1L for the trucks.

Or buying either the srt-8 charger, srt-8 magnum or the 300C srt8.

Probably settle for the truck since I have the car.

Edit: added the video.

that run was on a 125 shot.....with 175 on the dyno it put down 500hp/600lbs of torque with stock internals! this guys fastest run was 12.43 i think though....

yeap, that's him. I have the 12.44 or 12.45 run at the house on video. I supplied the nx works kit to shut all those people up after his 13.7 N/A run. I didn't want to put it on my new truck but told him we can put it on his and when he trades it in for a new truck, he can give it back to me. Everyone swore he was juicing. I have the 12.6 or 12.7 run too with the 100 shot.

well, I'm glad I didn't offend you, I would agree the older stuff was awsome, I think a true modern day performer though shouldn't be on the lx platform, The srt4 is exempt from that idea though
