RPM's hang on 1-2 Shift???
Once in a while, while shifting to 2nd from first, say I shift at 3000 RPM, I put the clutch in and shift to second, still keep the clutch in and the revs stay at 3000 for a few seconds.....and my foot is off the gas. How can it hold the RPM??? Is this a sign of something bad?
Thx for any help/info

The computer will hold it there for a second or two. Why? Maybe to help with the shift, i.e. hold the rpm so as to not clunk. I've notice sometimes under lite acceleration the rpms drop too quick and I get a clunk if I don't pay attention. Emissions, to help keep the fuel mixture from getting too rich when letting out. Those are my guesses.
