Default Ls1 Head gaskets on backward?

A friend of mine installed his head gaskets backward (front was on the back) What will this all effect? Just cooling? The engine did have cooling problems Im guessing this caused the problems! Can that warp the heads? or give him any other problems? We just pulled one head off so now we are pulling both heads off and installing new gaskets Correctly!!!
Thanks for your $0.02

Default

I assume these were the GM headgaskets, yeap definetely want to make sure they are installed right.

The Cometic gaskets dont have a front or back, they are same either way.
