Cool help building my 98 t/a

I have a 98 t/a with hooker l/ts y-pipe borla tunable cat-back maf tb bypass ram-air hypertech programer k&n 160 thermastat my next plans are a trans go shift kit and new gear and girdle. but my main question is my winter project I want to do my heads and cam my question is my buddy is going to school at a race shop in michigan and wants to port my heads and do a custom grind camshaft also a ls6 intake would you say a custom grind would be my best bet also I have a 4.10 gear he says I would be into overdrive before the end of the 1/4 mile do you think 3.73 would be a better choice and around what stall speed would best suit my build any insight would be apreciated thanks

Is it a daily driver? I'd opt for 3:73s if i were to ever do gears , but my 3:23's are doing just fine right now
