Anybody know if I59 south is open?
I'm trying to figure out if any of the roads south are open. I have not heard from my parent in 2 days. They are in Hattiesburg. I talked to them right after the storm. They are OK. It's just there is no gas, ice, water. I'm thinking about loading up the van with supplies and heading down. My route is usually 65 to Birmingham 20 to Meridian and 59 down to Hattiesburg. If 59 is closed my alternate would be from Meridian to Jackson on 20 and go down 49 to Hattiesburg. It's looking like at least 2 weeks for power and all circuits are busy trying to call.
