Default Are hardened pushrods necessary with h/c setup.

This is for my '00 Corvette. I've got the following parts waiting to go on, but unfortunaly I've run out of cash for the moment.

Precision Porting stage 3 heads w/ PRC Gold valve spring kit
LGM G5X-3 114 cam
Rollmaster double roller timing chain
LS6 oil pump
Flow matched 36# injectors

Are hardened pushrods necessary to complete this round of modding?

What's the spec's on that cam? I would run them dont skimp out on a 100 dollar part. How many miles do you have on the car? Might want to do the lifters when you have the heads off.

LGM hasn't released the specs on the cam. (2??/2?? Duration & 600/610 Lift at 114 Lobe Seperation.) The is around 9000 miles on the motor.

With the low miles the lifter will be fine, but with that much lift on the cam GET hardened push rods.

I would definitely replace them with hardened PRs.

Don't leave home without them. Think about the work that the pushrod is doing at 6500 rpm, then think of the destruction to the rockers and valves when it breaks.

Will these do, or do y'all prefer a different brand?

FWIW: the stock pushrods flex with the stock cam shifting at 58-6000. Id recomend them on even a stock motor.
