General Maintenance & Repairs - cost to replace two airbags and a windshield?

Anybody got an estimate on cost to replace two airbags and a windshield?

btw... I hate stupid people. :bang:

windshield not that bad maybe a couple hundred dollers. the airbags are the exspensive part maybe several hundred dollers a piece

i know lots people turn their car to race car, and first thing they take out is air bag

I paid $650 for both bags and the module, and that was through my buddy at the yard. $250 for the windshield installed. I also had to replace the entire dash, sterring column, etc....... Pics in sig. :cry:

Yeah my dashboard is all whacked out now... the passenger side airbag popped apart all the dash panels and busted my windshield. Glass all over my seats :(

The worst part about the whole thing... which is kinda also the best. But nothing else happened to any part of the car other than that I need a front end alignment! No body damage whatsoever.... but since I successuly avoided the driver that caused me to wreck, she has no liability and I have to deal with my own insurance...= pay my deductible.
She basically ran me into a curb head-on, but I was barely moving by the time I hit the curb. Front end cleared the curb and I hit on the tires.
The woman got off scott-free because it wasn't technically an "accident".

Another thing to bear in mind is, a "straight arrow"
repair shop (like anything paid by insurance adjuster)
will probably get your car into CarFax as an accident
victim, if you have the airbags deployed & replaced.
Def pick up the airbags aftermarket and see about
having a glass shop do the windshield replacement
rather than a dealership, or chain service center (like,
a glass shop that does not seem all computer-happy).

Or consider the airbag situation an "event assisted
weight reduction mod" and just rip 'em out the rest of
the way .... :)

Yeah I don't really care so much about the airbags, at least not the drivers side.
In a way I'd like there to be a passenger bag, even tho if some crap happens again it will bust my windshield for NO REASON. But I have to keep my girl in mind, and my family and friends.

I mostly just want my dash and windshield fixed :(

Oh and of course now my steering wheel cover is ripped in half lol.

I think my glass was 130. (I know the guy.)

The steering wheel air bag is about 600.00 ish from the dealer.

Where can you even get an aftermarket airbag??

Got the passenger side airbag and the sensor off a parted-out car for 150.00.

Does anyone know if the air bag mod is reusable? I replaced mine just in case. Might as well if it could be fautly after a wreck!

I have a complete new dash. Not sure if I am going to just sell it or repair mine.
