They list the gross weight with converter of the 4L80E as 260#s, vs. 176#s for the 4L60E with converter. Does Yank make a good light 9" race lockup converter like the ST4000 for the 4L80E trans?
I bet with a good converter you'd only be looking at a 50# weight penalty for the 4L80E, and you could use a TCI computer system to make it fully automatic and easy to adjust.
