TT LSx or Aluminum 572 Hey guys I need a little help... Alright I just want to hear some other opinions. I am going to start buying parts soon for an engine to go into my 1995 TA, and I cannot decide between a TT LSx (based off Worlds new LSx block) or Aluminum 572 ci BBC (based off Worlds new Merlin X block) with LS1 ignition and BigStuff3. I want a streetable 700-800HP, I think both would hit that mark quit easily. The BBC would be cool because not many other cars have that setup, and the turbo setups are becoming very popular (but for good reason). Cost wise they are pretty similiar (the LSx is a little more expensive). Any thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated. I put a pole in if anyone wants to vote...

If you go with the big block, better buy a bigass shoehorn and a 25lb sledgehammer!
If you go with a TT Big Block, you'll need a BIGGER shoehorn and a really BFHammer, AND a lot of grease, AND you'll have to get small children (with tiny hands and arms) to help you work on anything....
Seriously though, it does get to the point where you can't work on anything without removing half of the stuff bolted to the motor...

The World LSx block hasn't been released yet, they are finalizing the casting last I heard from them. I have been hounding them for information and all I got was max displacement is 454ci.

Not that 454ci isn't great, but I'm hoping for a block to come out with a 4.25in-4.5in bore. A 500 plus cubic inch LSx would be pretty bad ***! Isn't DART making a LSx block that will be coming out next year sometime?

I heard rumor of a 500+ci LSx block somewhere, but nothing has panned out finding any information. If it were true my decision would definately be made!

That is a hard question for sure. Nothing sounds better then a bbc.
With the technology out there know you can make the same power with both but the turbo setup will be much more street able. I'll bet you can push 800 to the wheels with the tt sb and still get 24mph highway.
With the BBC you might get 8 or less to get that power.
