Default I cant decide Turbo or SC

Like the title says, I want to go the FI route but ive never been able to decide on a S/C or turbo. i know the good and bad of both i just cant decide... also on a side note does anyone have sound clips of a turbo fbody ive never heard one before. The turbo rout sounds more cost effective (if) companies like ground zero get their kits off the ground.. going that route would mean i dont have to buy headers and right there thats a good chunk. also i dont like the parisitic loss of a S/c obviously neither are 100% efficient but a turbo is more so. I like that S/C theres power there right away. is there really any noticable lag with our cars and a properly sized turbo.. i figure a honda with the same size might have lag but they dont have the 4 extra cyl bolt on mod

I would say turbo it. I'm biased though becuase prior to the SS I owned a 90 Eclipse GSX. But if you think about it if you gun it off the line you'll have to wait for the turbo to kick in so therfore less traction problems (theoretically). Where as the S/C you might get caught up in the moment and press the gas too much and tires spin then you have to feather it on up through the gears. IMO. Turbo would be the way to go but again I am biased.

I have been debating this as well. but you also got to remember well with the brand of supercharger I am getting. I will not need an oil feed or return line. it is selfsustaining. and like you stated before. the supercharger is right away. once I get mine back I will post you a vid.it may be a month or 3 though. haha. o well, hope this helps

same boat here, dont know which one now. Been a longtime superchager fan but recently looked at turbos and im torn now. lol Im liking the turbo for the ease of adding boost and not having boost off the line making launching easier. Down side to that is more complex install.

i would say go the turbo route...so much easyer to change boost lvls and the tubo lag is not bad...and like other people say it will help you get trackion off the line. my buddy has a turbo 240sx and a supercharged 03 vette...the vette is sweet but can't get any traction off the line...if i had a choice i would go turbo....if someone gave me a super charger kit...i would definatly throw it on... basicly what i am saying is, if you can get a deal on a supercharger do it...otherwise go turbo

Go turbo, Much easier to make more power if you want it. superchargers make great power but to make more you have to buy new pullys. I have a turbo and love it, the sound of it spollin up is awsome.

Turbo all the way. If you never driven in a turbo car that makes power you have to try it.

What are your goals? If you wanna just slap something on your car and make power and have it be pretty reliable out of the box get a supercharger. If you're on a tight budget get a supercharger. The regular kit comes with everything needed and a headunit that can push pretty good power. A turbo might seem cheap now with the groundzero and the high flo turbo that's about to be released. But going turbo is definitely gonna be the more expensive route.

Also. I'm going turbo myself. It's just so much better in my opinion.

never drove in a turbo car, i have been in a superchaged car and i had a 72 elcamino with a 350 which i worked the motor--heads,cam,headers etc...... which was a bit faster than the ta i have now. I think i would just like either a turbo or a supercharger making 450-500rwhp. As for the turbo, i have a shop in my area to bend up pipes that i need and install it, i would have to get the rest...
