Default Offset LS1 crank question

How far can the stock LS1 crank be offset before we would need to use a non LS1 connecting rod? I heard 3.70"? Is this true? Or will Acura rods have to be used?

Thanks, Den

Why not just buy the correct crank for your application? Or stick with stock cubic inches and get a good set of rods and pistons so you don't have to worry about it.
