Default So what's the deal with F/I and race gas??

why is it so much better to run race gas with F/I?? My blower will be on soon, and I was curious to see what the difference is.Thanks

in short the higher the octane the higher resistance to knock so you can run more timing or compression or boost b4 u experience knock.

boost is boost, doesn't matter if it's on the street or on the track... the higher the psi, the more likely to detonate with a lower octane gas...

Ha sorry, I thought you were asking readers, not the poster.. nevermind. My bad.

lol yeah i was just wondering how much boost he is trying to run if he is asking wha kind of gas to run and where.

I won't be running anymore that 6 lbs of boost at start, i got the powerdyne kit cheap, I just didn't know what the whole deal with race gas was, so basically, I won't benefit from running it just running 6 lbs of boost?
