Introductions & Greetings - Newbie checking in from the Eastern Shore

Hey Ya'll,

If this is the wrong place to post this just let me know and I'll move it to the appropriate forum.

I am looking to build a 69 Camaro with an LS1, 5 or 6 speed, A/C, cruise, PS.
I want to have something that is reliable to use as an everyday driver, comfortable enough to cruise with the family on a Saturday night, with enough power for an occasional trip to the drags, just to get the itch out of my system.

I am looking to get clarity and direction for this project.

Is there a company or supplier that makes a complete "kit" to swap an LS1 into a first generation Camaro?

Is what I am looking to accomplish doable...or am I way off base?

All opinions, recommendations and even snide remarks are welcome.
