Default Tranny Question and problem

First of all, I have a 2001 camaro ss. 6-Speed. What tranny is in it. T56? Also, it seems to grind when I put it into 1st-3rd especially at higher RPMs. I can feel it through the shifter and in the clutch. Reverse is the same way. Once it is in gear, it is fine. No slippage felt. The hotter the car gets, the worse it is. We plulled the tranny last night and the throw out bearing looks fine. No apparent wear to anything. Clutch disk looks worn, but nothing majorly excessive. One possible cause is worn syncros???? I am hoping that it is just a worn clutch. Car has approx 60,000 miles on it. I am going to replace the stock clutch with a spec stage 3 but I want to find the problem first.I don't want to pull this tranny repeatedly if I don't have to. Any suggestions about shims or anything with the clutch would be helpful.
Any and all suggestions would be useful. Thanks

You will have to teardown the T56( thats what you have) to see what you will need. If it has clashed for a while, you may need quite alot of parts to put it right.

The only way to tell for sure is to take it apart. T56s arent near as bad as what some people make them out to be.

What good does the drill mod do?
