Default Stock Valve Spring Seat Thickness

I have an 02 that has the one piece valve seals integral with the bottom spring seat. I am going to the prior design where the seat was separate. Does anyone have an old one lying around they could use a micrometer and measure the thickness for me? I need to have that number.

Thanks

Your welcome, if you are going to the older design because you cannot find any of the newer sets- I have a full set still in the pack from GM

I disagree. Stock silver LS1 valve spring seats are .035 thick. The copper colored ones used on 01 LS6 heads and Hot Cam kits are .045 thick, the same as the one piece seat/seal.

I double checked with my mic and it came out to .049" on the one I had here. I have the new ones in the pack that I could mic but to not want to open them until they are to be used.

Interesting outcome just now. I opened the pack of intake seals and they mic .040" so I then opened the pack of exhaust and they mic .050" so theres a difference in thickness of intake and exhaust 1 piece seals. These are brand new seals from GM, #12482063 intake/#12482062 exhaust. I went to look through the packing because I can see that kind of a difference and looked at the intakes first and was like "yep, those are thinner." so I just opened both packs to double check.

The ones that I have checked came in between .048-.052

I think the original question was about the thickness of the original spring seats, not the seat/seal combo. They are the same part on both intake and exhaust. Part # 12565118 and they are .035 thick.

agree with 2xLS1, they are .035 off original heads on my vette.
