Well I think the time has come for me to move on to a new car. I need some good suggestions for a similar vehicle. I've been thinking 99 Mitsu 3000GT VR4, also a 97-01 Vette, possibly an Evolution, maybe even a Supra but normally way overpriced.

So please give me some suggestions.

Matt

Why not mod your current car? You could probably make it better than all those.

If you've decided to sell though I would go with the vette.

VR-4: heavy and problematic

EVO: bad ass car, bad clutches (unless you don't dump from 5k rpms :eyes: )

VETTE: nuff said

Supra: you were right when you said overpriced

Vette, or keep the LS1. I had a stealth tt and it was nothing but an expensive money trap. One problem after the next, and I hear this is VERY common. They are very expensive to work on and upkeep. Look in a used car buyers guide and they'll have black balls by every section. Save yourself a headache. I'm way happier with my f-body.

1. Keep your WS6 car. It's way cooler than the other ones you listed
2. Get the Vette. It's the only "upgrade" option in your list.

If you want a usable car that is much more refined than your WS6, you might want to consider a GTO.

If you don't care about usable, then the only other choice IMO is the Corvette.

i agree with everyone else, keept he ws6, or if you absoultly must get a different car, the vette is the only car there worth even taking a look at

Keep the WS6, tkae what money you have and start with simple mods, Header's Exhaust, LID, stuff like that. Put abou t2k in it. If you dont like what you get, trade it in for a Vette, dotn become one of those rice boyz.....If you cant get a vette, even over priced, at least go with the Supra....

3000 GT as the others said, very problematic, I know 2 people who had/have those, big time problems, clutches, timing belt, and electrical
Evo, basically an econobox with a powerful motor, it's another Mitsubishi, so expect the same type of problems as the 3000 GTs, after it ages a bit
Vette, IMO much higher quality than the average F body, a different feel altogether (refined is a word that comes to mind), but can still be just as much a muscle car as any F body
Supra, potential brutal hp numbers, but on average they are more dyno queens (I know there are some that kick ass on the strip as well) expensive to get into, and can be expensive to mod
My .02 keep the T/A, or get the vette

i would say the vette if you get rid of your ws6, know someone who has a vr4 and he wishes he didn't buy it, too many problems

Keep the WS6 or get a clean vette, but dont even bother with anything else on the list.

Alot of people loose their excitment with there cars, atleast until they start modding it. Get 150 shot and you hair on your hair will stand up once again.

I must say, Corvettes are VERY impractical but god damn are they nice!

im gonna go against the grain here. an MKIV supra can be picked up at a decent price (around the same as a nice C5) and will perform just as good. and for little money invested will run better. hell ive seen NA mkivs running around the 10-15k range. and a turbo kit is about 5k for that...

if not a supra a c5 is nice. improves on the small things thats wrong with the fbody IMO. but the aftermarket is WAY overpriced IMO. thats the only reason i would never buy one.

ive never owned a vr4 before but i cant imagine it being much worse reliability wise than any fbody i know of locally.

wow thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate the suggestions. Just so you all know more about my situation, I have a black 99 WS6 6 sp with Cartek Stage 2 H/C, mac headers & y pipe, 125 shot of nitrous, cartek programmed computer, 9 inch rearend, and a few other mods like short shifter etc.

I have been seriously considering the C5, but with the new one having exposed headlights it makes me feel like the C5 is dated, actually thats what my GF said, how do you all feel about this?

i personally hate it, but alot of people like it, i tihnk the exposed headlights, adn the aluminuzed interior make it seem like there trying to be more european, less domestic
