Default I think my Transmission is slippin?

Hey got a question when I get around 4000 rpm's and 70 mph my rpm's go way up passin' gear doesn't catch and then after a while the the passin' gear kicks in spuradically, what's this mean?

Does it do it all the time or only when it warms up?

I have same exact problem, does it just bang off the rev limiter and not shift?

no it shifts, but when I get to 4000 it slips for about 3-4 seconds then shifts to the next gear, the passing gear slips if I hit it hard enough. On a hard start 0 to 60 is fine but buy that time it will slip into the next gear. . .Some think I may need to change my fluid or the filter but I'll take it to get checked next week. . .
