New worst times today, yay!! not
Took the car to Speed World aka Spin World. Didn't really feel like going cause I was tired as **** but on my way home I saw a few 03/04 Cobras heading to the track and instantly I got my second wind.
Anyway come home, change out the rear 18" Simmons wheels (left the front 18's on) and put on the 17" SS wheels with the BFG's on them.
Head out to the track literally pull in the lanes and start heading up to the line. No cool off what so ever.
I haven't driven this fucken thing for like 9 months so I'm learning the car all over again.
Do a shitty burnout , pull up to the line bring it up to 2200 and let er have at it.
Only got 2 runs in, Here's my whopping best et of the night:
60' 1.90
330 5.099
1/8 7.675
mph 95.51
1000 9.895
1/4 11.768
mph 120.11
some background information
It was 80 degrees, 76% humidity, barometer 30.06
my second run in i got a better burnout, thought I lined up in the groove but spun to a whopping 2.0 60 foot.
This is with my new forged bottom end 9:1 compression, 224/228 cam and on 7 lbs of boost shifting at 6 grand, only 500 miles on the new motor.
My car is running out of fuel on the big end, so I need some 50 lb injectors and a BAP. I'm gonna run a smaller pulley and then dyno again , this time bring it up to 6500.
I'm half disappointed but i'm not, the car was full weight minus the spare. the mph says the power is there, I just can't hook it. All I have is some lca's with some relo brackets.
Looks like I gotta concentrate more on suspension and get my fuel situation fixed. My tuner said he pulled out timing on the top end, think its like 16 degrees.
I don't have the dyno graph but he said it made 485..
Looks like I got some work to do before I make another debut..
How fucken embarrassing.
I'm going to bed, later

With absolutely no chassis/suspension work, no boost off the line, a cam smaller than yours, and a stock internal LS1, I was cutting 1.73-1.74 all day long. Slip your car some Mickey's

I do want to run Mickey's but these BFG's are still pretty new so I'm gonna use them for now.
Dave if the track is open tonight for bracket racing, I'm going, I need some seat time and need to experiment with what rpm to come off at. 2200 rpm is too much.

I've gone 1.60 on them on a good track (Bradenton) and I'm confident if I had some suspension I could have dipped into the low 1.5's.
Last night was just ridiculous.
My first run was a against a EVO that went 12.4, he got the jump on me good, (1.6 60') but after we were going I'm passed him and nearly sucked the paint off his car.
I don't like playing catch up, I want to hook and book..
