what's up folks i am fairly new to the site and just purchased an '04 gto. i traded in an '03 gt and so far i am glad i did. the gto feels alot faster than the gt and the gt ran high 13's.
what are the best mods to do for starters?? thanks...

Some form of CAI will be helpful, and long tube headers will really wake the car up.

what is the deal with the bump stop mod on the throttle bodies. i've read something about that but wasn't sure if it really worked or not. doesn't it throw off the voltage reading from the tps at wot?? thanks...

I overread the m6 in your thred longtubes y-pipe catback and some free air mods will give that goat a kick in the ass for starters :drive:

Bump stop mod allows your TB to open a full 90*. It doesn't mess with any voltages, do a search for bump stop mod in the new users and enthusiasts forum and you'll find what you need to get that done. Another good mod is a ported TB, Cammin Beast, a member here on the board, ports them for $75. He does good work form what i hear. Maybe send him a PM for more info, he may also to the bump stop mod while he has the TB.

thanks for the replies, i did a search and i think i can handle the bump stop mod. all i need is an extension cord, my freakin' dremel tool doesn't reach the plug, lol. at wot the tps reads 4.43 v and i want it to read 4.60 v.
i'm just trying to get whatever free mods done that i can. my buddy has an evo and he wants a rematch. i walked him pretty hard especially up in high gear the other night. another guy with a bolt on mach1 wants to run the goat. he runs mid 13's out here.

FYI, a ported TB will be worth 5-8 hp.
