Default New stereo crap on the way...

I ordered 2 pair of Audiobahn ABC600T 6.5" component speakers and a new Alpine MRV-F450 5 channel amp. My plan is to put the rear tweeters up near the top of the car to get some highs going on each side of me. These will be set up with my Clarion DXZ745MP head unit. Will post pics after I get it done. I'm very ready to toss this monsoon crap in the dumpster!

Before anyone asks... the sub channel on the amp won't be used quite yet... I'm still waiting for cooler weather so I can build the fiberglass base for a sub box into the holes where the rear seats used to be.

Got my speakers and amp finally... the speakers have bare wire type inserts that you screw down, but the wires have little tabbed ends with rubber surrounds on them. I'm starting to think buying Audiobahn was a mistake.

BTW this amp is frickin huge...

All you gotta do is splice the speaker wire. Cut off the origonal plug and then cut the rubber off the wire some that the bare wire at the end is exposed.

LOL Yeah I know that I was just commenting on the fact that they sent wire that clearly doesn't fit the components. I've done a lot of this work before.

Odd that they would do that...
