Southern Members - Shootout today ---discussion

I had a great time today and thought we had a good turn out. I won 2nd in the quick 8 class. Sean spanked me like only your daddy should! :) I couldnt 60' for shit...but i think it was like that for everyone so it was equal.
More should enter the races though.....you never know who is going to win...some break....miss a gear...red light...alll kinds of stuff.
I met a few of you guys and that was cool....saw some very nice cars.
Lo-N-Slo ...your car looked so bad ass, i wanted to give you the win before you ever ran. Nice car...get those issues worked out and get back out there.

There were lots of cool cars there. That huge truck that ran low 12s was badass.

Craig...10.3s all day when i stayed in it. It was spinning alot....out of the groove...hot...i wasnt disappointed in the times but very much so in the 60'. I had a 1.53 but it went down hill after that. Guy that whooped my ass ran 9.1 @ 152!!!! We had a great time.....better than i expected turnout. We need to do name tags though....masking tape and a marker would work.

That truck was haulin ass and not getting traction either.

Oh Craig, i made a pass after i put my street tires on to see what it would do. I had never run it with real street radials.....ran 11.5 @ 134

Me and Jena had a great time too, and it was cool meeting some new faces.

My first trip to SDR was definitely a good time.

i ran consistantly a 13.85-89@105 or so then in the flipping quarter finals the track sped way up.... somethin.. and I ran my fastest of 13.75... same 60ft.. just got some magical horsepower...

No 13.2xx is my fastest yet :( was hoping to hit a 13.1xx but didnt quite make it there, maybe I can for the fall. I wonder what times I could have pulled out if I had borrowed someones slicks ??

Cant seem to get the video off the Hi-8 tape onto my laptop... it has the USB hookup and I have it in right, I just need a program that can import video off of a Hi-8 tape and onto the Laptop via that USB line.

It was a good day at the track. I am still chasing 11's but hey, ya gotta have a goal and I had fun running with you guys. I thought the track was hooking ok but then again anytime I can get 1.8's out of the truck I am happy. Definitely some sweet cars out there yesterday.

Damn, wish I could've made it to this. Obligations to the ol' lady's folks and the fact that I'm not tuned yet kept me from making it.

I did get my idle in gear finally ironed out about a week ago after having to use my damn desktop to do the tuning. Jerry saw first hand how shitty the laptop I have is. :lol:

The truck makes 500 ponies and 1000 foot-pounds on fuel. My best nitrous tuning to date on the dyno made 772.5 HP and 1500 plus Torque. I run a touch smaller jets at the track so depending on bottle pressure and outside air it usually adds 200 to 250 ponies.

Yeah i agree the tracked hooked in brackets i ran consistent 15.84's to 15.9 all the way through like ten test and tune runs and i let it cool down, dialed in a 15.8 and ran a 15.79 and hot lapped it hoping to bring my time up to dial in and ran faster actuall..the fastes pull i have made in it a 15.76...so it did speed up

ba78ta are you the one i raced and were off of your 13.85 by only one thousandth...great race...congrats
