Noob to Nitrous, help with plate
Ive ot some plans this winter for my Z. As of now I have a fully forged 383 stroker and went a best of 11.68@116.89. I have a NOS wet kit with a NX plate. I have heard that the older NX plates are only good for around a 175 shor because of its small holes on the jets. IS ithis true or just a myth?

What plate is it exactly? NX does not make a plate for LT1 (I'm just guessing that your 383 is an LT1 since it is in a 96 F-body). With some more info I could possibly give you jetting, and it should be able to go quite a bit higher if it is an NX plate.

The guy I bought it from said it was a NX. IT is a plate with 2 brass tubes with 3 holes drilled in each side of the tube(1 for each butterfly) One tube is located about center of the bore and the other is ocated at the very top of the bore. I can get some pics tommorow if that would help

Yea, it would help to have pictures if you have them. It sounds like the NOS LT1 plate from what you are descibing, but then again we have made a lot of custom plates for customers so it could possibly be a hand-made plate that was built for a customer.

Thanks for supplying the pics, but unfortunately I can't be of much help. That is definately not an NX plate. Maybe Nitro Dave can help with figuring out what plate it is and what the jetting would be. Sorry.
