Default Mods and Mileage, or is it worth it?

Hello,
I have a 99 Corvette sixspeed LS1 coupe. It has 56.6k miles on it.
My question is , (assuming cylinder compression is normal), at how many
miles is it too late to put in racing cam, AFR LS1 HEADS, wheezer, lg tube
headers, BB prt speedway tips. Other non hp mods would be 18 & 19 in. wheels, Michelin Pilots, etc. or has the engine all ready have too many miles? It runs great, no problems, all electronics work and operate normaly.

Thanks in advance!

Depends on how the car was driven. My car had 40,k on when I installed the cam. 70,k when I had the heads done. She runs great and puts down good power. 90% of the miles I put on the car were highway.

I think you will be fine.

The best way to judge that is to do a wet compression test and a leakdown test.
The result will determine where your block stands and if it OK to proceed.

I hope so lol, I'm putting a maggie blower, cam, LT's, ported heads on my 99 C5 at 95k miles. pulled the heads because I wanted to look at the cylinder walls, there is NO (read zero) wear on them and the crosshatching is still showing up on the cylinder walls.

bottom line is that if there is not anything broken then 100k miles is nothing on these and they will stand up well to about 550 rwhp.

More Than Zero
