How well do they hook up with a stick car? How would they do with a cam only car with 4.88 gears?

Come on, I know some of you have tried this size. Is there enough hook to sky the fronts?

I'd say as long as u have the suspension behind it you'd be set

For a stick car, you have to have a slick!!!!!!
I’ve been there, DR’s will not 60’s on a stick car without perfect suspension set-up and a awesomely prepped track.
Hoosier QTP’s are OK, but MT are better. Need to get as much sidewall as possible(15” rims are the best). With that you will need a 12bolt.
The best first suspension mod should be LCA relocation brackets.

What actual width are 255/50x16's across the sidewall, mounted on an 8" rim ?

i have the 255/50/16 MT ET street radials on my 400 rwhp m6 and i think they are going to work quite well

a full suspention will help...i have
sphon tunnal TA, sphon panhard, sphon lcas, relocation brakets, 12 bolt with 4.10, and hal shocks all around

i went to the track with the tires before the hals and it hooked with a 4000 dump but there was wheelhop because my rear shocks were shot but now with the hals i think i willbe pullin some nice mid 1.6s on these

i will be going with a slick next year but for now these will work
