Question Shifter install question.

I just recieved a Hurst shifter I bought of e-bay that im about to install but it didnt come with anything to install it with. Is there a gasket that I need or can I just use some RTV?

I was thinking of just laying down a small bead, letting it dry a little on the surface, and then bolting down the shifter using the existing factory bolts.

BTW Im also going to change the fluid and use open hole to poure it through the top. If the car is on ramps, will this allow all of the old fluid to drain? or does it need to be level.

Thanks in advance, Josh.
