Give us a call our LS-1 converters start at $579.00 for our 3300 stall and there is a GP going on for an Extra Discount

I got a new TCI SSF3500 from one of the sponsors for less than $500. I love it.

I hope you have better luck with yours than I had with mine.

I had installed in April of this year and from the getgo it never locked up in 4th gear properly. It always made a funny kind of noise when it applied. I monitored the tranny temps and they were always normal 170-180f. I even swapped out the fluid and it was clean. However, by late August the TC gave out and took my trans with it. It must be added that I don't beat up on my car nor has it been to the track. That being said, I don't drive it like a granny either.

When I had it rebuilt I put in a Vigilante 3200. It locks up properly and I'm a happy camper again.

Can't go wrong with Yank. The Midwest TC's are junk and the TCI's are not that great as well. With the 2 Yank TC's that I have had, they have performed flawlessly. The problems with TCI are they suck up HP and fit like crap. Their tech line sucks too and are clueless.

yes check out fuddle just got mine and have to install it. Midwest arent bad either nor is tci. Yank and vig were the first on the sene with converters for the ls1's so they are going to be the favorite around here. Just check them all out and go with who you feal is best. Customer service can be a key issue and like someone else said some companies dont want to give you the time of day to figure out what converter is best for you now and for you in the future. Some recommend a converter in 2 seconds and dont give a crap about what you have to say or even care to hear what future plans you have for the car, that in my opinion is bad for business. Who ever you go with make sure you tell them what you have and what you plan to do with the car (ex heads,cam/turbo,supercharger etc..), if you dont tell them than you wont be a happy camper and will need to change the converter in the future to match your setup just like my stupid azz is doing now..

from what i understand he is a board member just like us and found a company(thats been building converters for a long time) that would build him a converter for what he wanted, then talked to them about making converters for ls1's and now you have fuddle racing. I could be wrong though.

screw Yank, get a fuddle and YES they do make their own converters, go to their site and it shows the history of the converter. Fuddle has good tech support and John will take the time to answer all your questions, I think i called him 4-5 times with questions and everytime he stopped and answered them. I called Yank once and was put on hold and never got an answer. I got my 4000 2.5 str for under $450 shipped.
