The moderator pulled my thread for being a non-sponsor. PM me and we can set things up.

That would be MY 402 for MY red car. And I have no problems dealing with you. I'll have my private mechanic arrange things. I'd like to say he works cheap, but my empty bank account is evidence to the contrary.

NWDragRacer-

I believe I see you frequently stuck in southbound Hiway 9 morning traffic around 0730. I'm heading northbound into Snohomie in a black Z06.

Is that you? If so I feel for ya stuck in that horrific traffic. Being a severe road rage candidate, i have to find non-threatening commutes...for everyones safety.

Nope, not me. I have seen that car though. She lives in Monroe. My commute is from the bedroom to the office - usually I have my robe on.

We will talk soon. But for now I have to take it easy and let my neck surgery heal up. I have been looking at the Wolf kits. Do you have a rec? Weld in or bolt in? Complete weld kit, or partial weld kit? Thickness of tubing?
Thanks
Robert

Go ahead and order the mild steel bar and what ever options you want. Be sure and get the "jig notching" as it will save you $$ and me time. Stay away from chrome moly. It appears that the C5 is a combination of bolt/weld in. Call them and ask any questions you have.

When it arrives, we can schedule install.

Here's a pic of a Wolfe bar, I think, but the basic I want with swing outs on both sides. Anyway, from what I can tell the rear down tubes are bolt in. Is this NHRA legal? The front main tubes and down tubes come as either through bolt with backing plate, or through bolt with plate welded to frame. Is through bolting with plate NHRA legal. I don't have a NHRA rule book. I will also call them, but would like a second opinion, anyone?

Nice knowin ya Rick!

Yes Robert, bolt ins are NHRA legal. The rear cross bar MUST be welded in however. At least that is the rule for an f-body.....

Two more questions, can you have a passenger with a five point roll bar? or do you need to go to 6-point? Is there any site that has the NHRA rules posted, as they are out of '05 books, or does someone have an extra copy?
Robert
