thanks....something isnt right though. Turbos just wouldnt mph. I think it is something in the new tranny or the converter. I know the car and it just was down on power.....no smoke or detonation though. Same as last Sunday. It either has boost leaking from one side or the tranny/converter is slipping. It may be time for a 400/4l80e..... Dave at RockOn mentioned doing a 4l80e the other day since we pretty much found the limit of a 4l60e he can sell to be 700rwhp. After that it gets spotty which is ok for testing but not for his customers so this is the data he needed. Precision....is gonna hear about this converter.....it gets extremely hot when not locked up and has a vibration. Maybe they will work with me on a 400/4l80e converter. I put the tranny in 3rd last night and locked up, it runs 3000 rpms at 70....I could live with that if we dont go to a 4l80e...just have to talk to Dave and see.

Congratulations! That is awesome. Speaking of trannys, I know alot of people like to go with the TH400 but have you thought about going with a TH350? The reason I say that is my friend Drew (NOSFEDGTA) swears up and down by the TH350s in his car and he runs mid to low 9s! I know that 400 will soak up some power so I just thought I would bring this up. Just a thought

thanks again.
slip:
1.543
4.236
6.693 @ 110.42
8.393
9.982 @ 142.36

Just talked to Rock On. I think I welded the 1-2 clutches together. We had found the limit of the 3-4 end but not 1-2 until now. I asked "what now?" and he immediately responded that "you are about to install a 4l80e" It's awesome to work with someone like Dave. Now he wants me to install and document the installation for a 4l80e. The car has more in it for sure...just gotta get it all to the ground Feels like i'm bouncing off the airbag.....gotta figure all that stuff out like the fast guys do. Now I guess we can test RockOns 4l80e build. I feel really confident that guys can install his 4l60 up to 700/700 with no problems

here is a vid...my camera does poorly at night

110 mph in the 1/8 is ******* rolling, especially for a 3800 lb street car.

You've got quite an accomplishement there Jerry. You built that car from the ground up by yourself, and it runs 9's. Thats ******* killer.

Congrats

Sweet! Congratulations on the run.

I know how frustrating it can be getting a trans and converter combo you like. Good luck with the 80E
