12 disk changer question I recently bought a SS that has the Monsoon system and 12 disc changer. How do i get this thing to work? I know the changer works because I open the door and the magazine comes out and stuff but I can't get the radio to operate it. I press the Aux button and nothing works. Does it need atleast 1 CD in it to work? I was trying without a cd in it before. I already have a single disc Monsoon head unit so if it doesn't work no biggie.

i believe you need atleast a cd in it to make it function and i think you hit the cd button to make it work instead of the aux. i'm only guessing cause i only had mine in my car for 2 days before i ripped it out.

The changer must have at least one disc in it to work (and the discs go in upside-down, that is label side down).
With a CD head unit, you press CD/AUX (CD/Play on a Firebird) once to switch to the internal single CD (if loaded) and a second time to switch to the external changer.

Thanks for the replies. I will try this after I leave work. I thought maybe i would get an error or somethign that would atleast tell me it is working correctly but that a disk wasn't in it.
