Default LT1 Intake Take 2

Here are the reulsts of the first night of rough sanding. I'm hesitant to take much more off the edges, but the divets are all gone off the top. Tomorrow I will do the fine sanding & polishing. Hopefully it will be good enough.....

Here is the finished product Jimbob. I hope you like it! It actually turned out better than I thought it would at first. Although it's not as good as I would like it to be. (who me, ****?) Once you get the bottom half powder coated it should look sweet!!!

(and this is Mark by the way)

Damnnnn...that looks really good.!! Maybe I should go with a Candy Apple color on the lower half (just below the welds) instead of Teal...Paint my plastic Corvette valve colors the same....HMMMMM....A little alternator polishing...and BAMMMM.......

Thanks again................

You want me to reveal my secret polishing formula? HA, no way Jose!!!

Well, OK, since you asked so nice. Pretty simple really. I sand it down (as often & with as agressive a paper as I need. In this case I made MANY passes) Then I hit it with 600 grit to smooth it. Then I polish it with my bench-grinder-buffer with Tripoli & then with White Rouge. Then I use Mothers metal polish to clean it up.

Glad you like it Jimbob. Candy Apple would look killer!!! Teal would too....

Update on the color.....Ellis and I came to the conclusion that the color he originally bought would be the best.....So, were going with Chameleon on the area below the welds (old half). It should look pretty trick.....

Thanks Steve. I am most pleased with how the shape turned out. The way it was welded I was worried about how it would look. But my sander took care of that. And with Jimbobs paint plans it will look SWEET!!! Chameleon, damn. Can't wait to see it on the car....
