12 Second Club - How Many Think I Can Get 12's With My Stock LS1?!?!

Previous best is in sig. That was my first time through the 1/4 with the car and the only pass I made that night.

I know the MPH is there, I see stall'd A4's going mid 12's all day long with the same or less MPH, it's all in the 60. I've since been 85 MPH in the 1/8 and 107 MPH in the 1/4.

I'm seriously looking at a Moser here soon possibly, but I don't know if I'd have it before the season's over. It's so tempting to just throw on some ET Skreet's and dump this thing at about 4,5k...but for the obvious reasons, I'd be worried.


Anyone ever broke there 10 in completely stock form with sticky's??


Anyone think I've got enough skill to get this thing in the 12's on a radial?? :)

theres a local guy here with heads and cam with a 3800 stall running slicks on stock rearend and its still holding but ive herd that a auto with a stall is softer than a 6speed clutch dump...i would just tryit and see ....just my 0.02

First of all, MTs will DEFINANTLY break ur rear end so will drag radials, but its gonna go anyway (you play,you pay) so phuck it. MT's will get you 12.8's or possibly better, but your mph will stay the same if not lower.

trust me when i say phuck it.... i broke 2 10bolts, and i still got one! (built though)

You might be able to do it..

The 10 bolt won't break if you take the shock off the drivetrain by using tirespin and clutch slippage to your advantage. I leave at 5500+ on DR's ALL the time.

A 12 bolt/9 inch is a good investment though.. lol

I was hoping to hit 12's bone stock on street tires with my SLP 345HP SS but can only muster a best of 13.008. Putting on a set of MT DR's and going to the track next Saturday. I'll be 12's for sure!

those mt drag radials are bad ass! however, its gonna be very difficult doing a burn out with a stock clutch and stock gears...those tires grip mean. and also make sure u clean off the tires after every run...it helps trust me

12.774 stock on MT DR's. Rolled through the water and spun them to clean them off. Eased into the clutch from about 4500rpm's and still bogged a bit. I didn't want to break the rear with a clutch dump. Ran 4 runs in a row back to back with 12.8X times. Ran 15 runs total and the car held up fine. Going to a different track Saturday to see if it'll go any quicker.

Gone through 3 rear ends on mine 1 on street tires an 2 this year on drag radials, but thats also making like 10-20 passes at the track a week. Some times more if its a good weekend of racing. Not to mention I kinda beat the snot out of the car on the road too.

Great times man! What were your 60fts on the street tires vs the MTs?

Best on street tires was a 1.975. Usually right around 2.0-2.1 though on most runs. I'm gonna need new tires next year so I might try again on the new tires to see if they hook better than the stock F1's. Not sure what brand I'm going with but leaning towards Fuzions.

What was the 60ft with the drag radials?

DR 60's were in the 1.8's. The 12.69 run was a 1.8571 but had a best of a 1.83 but the ET was only a 12.71

I did a 8.41 at 87.6 mph with 2.00 60' on stock goodyears completely stock except for FRA and K&N in a 02 Z28 6sp stripper. It is doable in the right weather conditions on a sticky track. I just did a 12.65 at 111.65 on a 2.02 60 in my C6 this week end. Stock with paper filter and runflats.
