Default should i go back to regular oil

i have been running redline oil for the past three years. but my "free" supply had run out now i can get quaker state oil for free so i figured i can just change my oil every month what do yall think. i only put on maybe 1000-1200 miles a month now i have 35000 miles on the clock

While it might only apply to SBC's, Ive always heard not to run quaker state in chevy engines because it will sludge. I would say, go find a synthetic oil you like (G.C., Amsoil, M1) and keep on using it. Its only 30 bucks or so every 6K miles. To me, the biggest expense is time and effort required to dispose of the old oil.

keep using synthetic, and don't use regular oil after running synthetic. with all of your mods it would be a bad idea to switch to a normal oil.

Using synthetic oil and then changing back to conventional will create a few oil leaks. My buddy forgot he changed to synthetic and put in regular. Now he has all kinds of leaks. Id personally go with mobil 1.

I didn't think you could go back to conventional oil after Synthetic.

Free now VS. Pay later..... I think I would stay with the synthetic.

thats cool i just figured if i changed it ever thousand miles or so if it make a difference. but i can still probably pull some redline just not as much as i used to. guess ill wait till i hit 4k or so for every change now. my internals have to oil stains or anythings when they open it up. techs always ask how many miles i really have when they see it
