Default how should i paint my rear panel

02 artice white Z28- i wanna paint my rear filler panel black, but i dont see the need to go to a body shop. how should i go about painting this (dont assume i know anything about painting)

just go to walmart get some black matte finish style spray, and also some spray on primer so the paint sticks good, and some sand paper and sand the old paint off, spray with primer, and do thin coats of black matte or glossy black whichever you chose, spray coat after coat until you are satisfied with the look.

here is what i did, lightly sand just to rough up the clear, then use wal mart matte black bumper paint. looks good...

who needs a body shop! That looks great cop car!! I would suggest you clean the surface too w/ soap and water when prepping, to get all the oils and such from your hands off. Me and my buddies painted the bumper all around his 16 thousand dollar truck with black spray paint from pep boys, and it still looks great even after going offroading 4 times w/ it.
