Crapola that was close :eek2: The way they both were pedaling the whole time it sounded like they were on a dirt road or something ? Is it normally THAT slick on the tracks down there ? I guess PR isn't so bad after all :)

It is darn near a dirt road. The track here sits kind of out in the middle of nowhere outside town, at ~5,700 ft. actual altitude. It's always windy over there, and the dirt blows all over the place. They never use VHT except for when they have big races like the one this weekend. IMO you can't expect a track to perform well for you if you don't take care of it all year long.
There were some really nice cars out there, but mostly Mustangs. There are some REALLY respectable Mustangs around here though, one of which could easily be running low 8's at Sea Level and the guy drove it to the track from home. Actually there are several Stangs like this running around town here. One of them is owned by Mike Keenan, which I've seen several times in the pages of MM&FF running in the Fast Ford Weekends around the country. I think he busted into the 7's in St. Louis this summer.

All I know is I wouldn't risk losing it all on a crummy track like this if I had as much money in a car as some of those guys out there.
