Default im new and have some Qssss!!

ive been lookin through this forum for a while now and disided to become a member!!!! history- im 20 years old and live in meridian ID, in high school i got a 1992 2wd fullsizy chevy v6 5spd and it was "is" my baby, had it in the shop one week and my rents let me drive the 91 z28 5.7 tpi auto car, needless to say ive never been the same, just out of HS i went out a bought a 91z28 5.7 tpi motor had it rebuilt "cam, roller rockers, headers, high-flow intake, exhaust..ect...and one of my dads friends and i installed it in the truck over the summer, also installed a built 700r4, later came the posi rear, 5/7 drop, 17x9.5s and 17x11 with 275/315 rubber. yes the truck is a kick in the azz and yes its a tirefryer.....but i want to take the next step.....so here i am......im in the market for an LT1/LS1, right now i have a 95 6spd vette with 17,000 on the brain for under $15,000, been talkin and lookin around and for the money i could get an ls1 camaro. with that said what can i get with 15,000? i would love an SS and it has to be the 6spd!! what do you all think?

i got my 1999 SS M6 for 8 something about a year ago, one heck of a deal IMO. i've seen alot of SS's for sale in indiana for around 10-13 G's, with the exception of a few higher priced, but for 15 you should be able to find a deal! good luck!! SS Camaro's are too sick

If you go low options, I've seen several 2002's go for under 15k here. Decent mileage etc. Nice cars, just no options.

Welcome
You should be able to find a much newer one for that price or even less.

for $15k you can get a whole lotta car in an LS1 Fbody. older LS1s with all the costly mods for 400-420 rwhp n/a already done or a new 01-02 stock with low miles.

lowest i've seen is $6500 for a 98 Z/28 with 125k miles.

I got mine for 15k, it's a Trans Am but not a WS6.

Camaro's generally go for cheaper than Firebird's so I think you'll be able to find a really nice one for 15k. When looking, ask the owner when the last time the oil/rear end/transmission fluids were changed... if they don't know then I'd walk away.

Oh and if You end up getting one, especially an M6, for your FIRST mod, order Sub Frame Connectors, no matter WHAT anyone else tells you.
